Our Community Access Programs

Community Access Days are a very important part of your child’s program as they provide an opportunity for the students to practise many of the skills they will need later for travel training, community access and work experience. Appropriate behaviours are taught daily at school but community access excursions give the students the opportunity to practice these behaviours, enabling them to access public transport, public toilets, picnic facilities, shopping centres, libraries, parks, and leisure facilities. On all these occasions the students are expected to practice the rules they learn at school in our classroom.
